Richard Ginnetti, DHA

Dr. Rich Ginnetti, DHA, is an Assistant Professor in the School of Health and Applied Human Sciences at the University of North Carolina Wilmington and serves as the Public Member of the Board for The Commission. In this role, he serves as the voice of the public and consumer. He is also a member of the Board's Executive Committee, where he serves as Treasurer.

Dr. Ginnetti brings a diverse background spanning engineering, manufacturing, process improvement, healthcare leadership, population health, academia, and research. His research focuses on health equity and the needs of marginalized populations, particularly LGBTQ+ older adults. Through both his scholarship and community engagement, he has worked to better understand and address barriers to health, wellness, and access to services.

Throughout his career, Dr. Ginnetti has remained committed to improving systems, advancing evidence-based practice, and supporting better outcomes for individuals and communities. As a member of The Commission, he contributes a broad perspective shaped by experience in healthcare, education, research, and continuous improvement.
